The Fujifilm Whips n Spurs Spring Party

The annual Fujifilm Whips n Spurs Spring Party was the perfect start to kick start the new racing season!

Just under 1,000 partygoers dusted off their bits, got out of the stable and headed to the show ring for a bit of horsing around!

Greeted at the doors by the gorgeous 'Show Ponies' and Fujifilm paparazzi, everyone got a free drink on arrival and the crowd that came along before 12.30pm were treated to yet another free drink to help get the party started!

ZM's Mark and Flynny were on hand throughout the day offering hot tips, giving away betting vouchers and keeping the crowd thoroughly entertained, while DJ Kieran Bell was on the decks providing some sweet beats.

The Fujifilm paparazzi area was humming with partygoers getting their pics taken, entering into Fujifilm Best in Show, the best photo competion, the Fujifilm Best Turned Out competition AND printing off free copies of all their best snaps!

Food continually flowed throughout the party with the chocolate fountain a sure-crowd favourite!

The final of Fujifilm's Best In Show competition was a highlight of the day - with the 10 best-dressed finalists taking to the runway and strutting their stuff in an effort to win a Fujifilm FinePix Z35 digital camera, a $100 voucher from OFF Wax I Brow Bar AND products from Linden Leaves, including their new Herbalist range.

The Show Ponies spent the day handing out all number of surprise and delights that included vouchers from OFF Wax I Brow Bar, free drink vouchers for Pony Club and betting vouchers on the day's big race - the Kiwi Bacon Great Northern Steeplechase.

Speaking of races - the crowd got behind all of the 10 races with cheers from the grandstand heard throughout the neighbouring suburbs!
 
And the action didn't stop after the last race! Top Auckland covers band - The C.V.E, cranked out everyone's favourite hits on the stage, while Kieran Bell kept the other half of the party cranking with some upbeat dancy hits!
