The Group I $2.2million Telecom New Zealand Derby was won by the Shaune Ritchie-trained gelding Military Move with a jubilant Michael Walker aboard, while Australian student Kelli Odell won Mercedes Prix de Fashion, and flew home with a $100,000 prize package that included a brand new Mercedes-Benz CLC 200K Coupe to keep!

Stella Artois Auckland Cup Day - Wednesday 10th March 2010
If you were one of the many who decided to use Stella Artois Auckland Cup Day as the perfect excuse for a half-day off work, you picked a great day to do it!

With the sun shining bright throughout the day, a 9000-strong crowd was oncourse to cheer on the field in Auckland’s iconic race – the Group I $1million Stella Artois Auckland Cup, and witness the only Australian- trained runner – Zavite, triumph and take home the winnings. At least there's some satisfaction that he was bred in New Zealand!

Meanwhile off-track, the husband and wife duo of Jason & Sharlene Rowling were picked by celebrity couple Brooke Howard Smith and Amber Peebles as the best-dressed couple oncourse, thus winning Stella Artois Cup Couture and walking away with a year's supply of Stella Artois and a luxury weekend at Huka Lodge.

SKYCITY Diamond Day - Saturday 13th March 2010
SKYCITY Diamond Day was Ladies' Day where 6000 racegoers were welcomed oncourse by the stunning SKYCITY Showgirls.

The Group I $200,000 SKYCITY New Zealand Stakes was won by seven-year-old gelding Vosne Romanee, while the second Group I of the day, the $200,000 Auckland Diamond Stakes was taken out by the John Sargent-trained filly, Banchee.

Five hundred well-dressed ladies received a gorgeous PANDORA goodie bag on arrival, while the glittering $10,000 PANDORA Diamond Darling prize package was taken home by Ellina Forbes after she drew Banchee in the Auckland Diamond Stakes.

And let's not forget what was the highlight of many people's week - the Fujifilm Whips n Spurs Summer Party where 1000 young things took a trip to Wonderland, complete with flamingoes, top hatters, maypoles and lolly trees.
