Winners' Circle Syndicate

Going to the races is all about getting dressed up, enjoying the odd tipple and perhaps a bet with friends. But have you ever stopped to consider how exciting it might feel if you were the owner of a horse in the next race!?

Well the 100 lucky people who have joined the Winners' Circle Syndicate have not only experienced what it feels like to be the owner of a horse in a race BUT have also experienced what it feels like to 'own' the winner of not one, but two races so far (and one of them was a Listed race!).

The Winners Circle Syndicate was put together so that like-minded fun-loving people could enjoy the thrill and excitement of owing a racehorse at a fraction of the real cost! The syndicate races three fillies - one of whom has already won two races!

The Horses

MASQUERADE
By No Excuse Needed- Out of Disguised
Trainer - Steve McKee, Auckland
By the Sire of Karaka Million winner Vincent Mangano, out of an O'Reilly mare this is a lovely strong filly from the famed Waikato Stud.

Latest update:
From all of us at the Auckland Racing Club, CONGRATULATIONS !

It was fantastic to have so many syndicate members on course to cheer on Masquerade to victory in the listed Soliloquy Stakes at Ellerslie on Life Education Trust Raceday (Sat 26 Sep).

What an enormous effort -  even though she was 3-4 wide and from the outside draw our jockey didn’t panic and instead weaved her way around a little road block in the straight before getting balanced to really power home the last 200m.  Make no mistake, that was a tidy bunch behind her,  Jungle Juice, who couldn’t even get into the field on form, dealt to the colts a race later.

Masquerade is now second on the points table in the NZ Bloodstock Filly of the year series, so at this stage the target is the next race in the series, the Group 1 NZ 1000 Guineas at Riccarton on November 14th .  Shortly before that however, she will hopefully get a run in the Listed Sarten Memorial open 3yo 1400m at Te Rapa on Monday October 26th ( Labour Day ) .

SO REGAL
By Shinko King - Out of Queen of the Cape

Trainer - John Sargent, Matamata
By the sire of NZ Derby winner C'est la Guerre and group 1 winner Eskimo Queen this filly looks a real runner. From the same family as former top class 3yo Silver Lad she has been broken in and has had stable experience.

Latest Update:
Hope you all backed SO ROYAL recently.  This full sister to the syndicate's SO REGAL won her 3rd race from her last 4 starts in a very strong field at Hawkes Bay, and looks the goods.  Congrats to owners Mr and Mrs Basset who have leased us SO REGAL.

Fingers crossed!

NEW! FALKIRK filly (unnamed)
Leased from Grangewilliam Stud
